![]() Official Website: www.bluelinemedic.com Hello. For those who've just joined us, this is your introduction to Blueline Medic. Please pay careful attention as there is a good chance the Fueled By Ramen crew will be administering a pop quiz at the end. Blueline Medic formed in Melbourne, Australia, in mid 1999. The band comprises Donnie Dureau (vocals/gtr), Adrian Lombardi (gtr), Dave Snow (bass) and Shaun Lohoar (drums). In their previous bands they have collectively driven around Australia four times, which is good practice for trying to do the same in the United States. Blueline Medic hooked up with Fueled By Ramen in 2000 and have since become Australia's leading advocates of Gainesville. Earlier this year they spent way too long on an aeroplane so they could introduce themselves to fans of good music. The first of these was producer J. Robbins, who recorded their forthcoming debut album "The Apology Wars" at Inner Ear Studios in Washington D.C. The band then set out on their first stint of touring in America, after Fueled By Ramen issued their debut EP "A Working Title In Green", which saw them opening for the likes of How Water Music, Burning Airlines and Samiam. This was an experience they enjoyed greatly and no matter where they were or how many people were in the crowd, they did best to satisfy. Many words have been used to describe Blueline Medic's music. Strangely, succulent is not one of them. Here's what Donnie once had to say: "That tense feel, I like having it. We don't like experiencing it in everyday life, but we like having that intensity in our music." As you have heard on "The Apology Wars", Blueline Medic uses two guitars, a bass and drums to make music that is textured and passionate, where invigorating tunes are allied with incisive lyrics. Their songs may make you jump up and down. Their songs may make you think about certain elements in your life. If Blueline Medic's music did both for you, they would be very happy. |
